A self-hosted alternative to Gamma

A self-hosted alternative to Gamma that runs on your own database and, if you like, your own models: ALLWEONE's presentation generator.

allweonedev/presentation-ai is MIT licensed, about 3k stars, created in March last year. The README describes it as an open-source AI presentation generator and an alternative to Gamma.app. You describe a topic, choose a text model, and it builds editable slides.

The stack is Next.js with Tailwind, the Plate.js editor, and PostgreSQL through Prisma. For models it lists the OpenAI API, Together AI, Ollama and LM Studio. The README tip I'd underline: with Ollama or LM Studio you can run text generation without an OpenAI key. Image generation uses Together AI or FAL, and web search uses Tavily, each with its own key.

What you're signing up for is a Postgres database to run, a few optional API keys, and a project whose last push was in June, so check recent commits before you build on it.

For a client who can't send slide content to a hosted tool, that setup is the whole point.

Would your team self-host a presentation tool to keep content in-house?
