388 skills is a catalogue, not a starter pack

A library of 388 Claude Code skills sounds like a starter pack. I'd treat it as a catalogue.

alirezarezvani/claude-skills is MIT licensed with about 28k stars. Its README says it holds 388 skills, 118 agents and 150 commands, and that it works with 13 coding tools, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and Cursor.

I cloned it and counted. There are 388 skill folders, which matches. There are 846 SKILL.md files in total, because the repo ships mirror copies for other tools. One small catch: the README still says '5,200+ GitHub stars' while GitHub shows about 28k. The text lags the repo, so check the counts yourself.

How I'd use it:

  1. 1Install one domain, not everything. The README lists plugins by area, such as engineering and product.
  2. 2Read the SKILL.md before you enable it. A skill is instructions plus scripts your agent will run.
  3. 3Remove what you don't use. Each enabled skill is one more thing your agent has to carry.

Install starts with: /plugin marketplace add alirezarezvani/claude-skills

How many skills do you have installed, and how many have you read?
